Tiwa Savage has made good on her promise to release a new track, ‘ You4Me’.
On Tuesday, the singer, songwriter, and actress excited her fans by announcing that a new track would be released at midnight.
True to her promise, the songstress released ‘You4Me’, a sample of Tamia’s 1998 song, ‘So Into You’.
Earlier, the ‘All Over’ singer announced that she would release her album, ‘This One Is Personal.’
In December 2024, the 45-year-old hinted that her next album may be her last.
Taking to her Instagram story, the mother of one stated that she is considering retiring from music because she feels exhausted and believes she has given her best effort.
She wrote, “This might be my last studio album. I’m tired. I don try”.
‘You4Me’
‘You4Me’ adopts the classic R&B style of the 90s but is flavoured with Afrobeats.
A two-verse track, the song opens with Tamia’s famous lines, “I like what you’ve done to me/I can’t explain it/I am so into you.”
From there, it breaks into a mid-tempo beat, and Tiwa brings her magic.
Like Tamia’s song, Tiwa sings about being enchanted by her love interest.
She sings: “I’m down to do what you want to/Should I be with a bit of fun?/Yeah, show me what you really want/Nobody do me as good as you.
In the second verse, the mother of one continues on her love quest, promising to be a keeper..
“Caesar, call you my Caesar/I’m still a diva, but I’m a keeper/It’s your ability, for stability/How you keep me held in captivity oh me like it/You know I’m for real,” she sings.

Queen of remixes
“Into You” is a phrase from Tamia’s song featured prominently in Tiwa’s.
One of the defining songs of the ’90s R&B era, Tamia’s ‘So Into You’ has its roots in The Commodores’ 1978 song, ‘Say Yeah’.

The Canadian singer’s song was also sampled in 2003 by American rapper Fabolous, who featured the late Ashanti.
Barely 24 hours after its release, Tiwa’s ‘You4Me’ started to generate a buzz, with many calling it the next big love song.
As an entertainer, Tiwa has etched herself in the hearts of her fans as the Queen of remixing great songs.
In 2012, she brought her magic to bear on Flavours ‘Oyi’
Other notable songs she has remixed include Spyro’s ‘Who is your Guy?’, 1da Banton’s ‘No Wahala’, Patoranking’s Girlie ‘O’, Kizz Daniel’s ‘Woju’ and more.
