Re-Ex-PG of Isuaniocha, Onyeagolu Commends Soludo’s efforts in Security through Agunechemba.
Our attention has been drawn to a recent publication by an online news outlet purported to have granted an interview to Tony Onyeagolu, who claimed to be a former PG of Isuaniocha. We wish to state clearly that Tony Onyeagolu is not a former PG of Isuaniocha, having had his tenure annulled by a competent court of law. In the judgment annulling his tenure, the court clearly stated that his tenure never existed and called on him to render an account of millions of naira he collected during the time he falsely occupied the office.
Instead of obeying the court judgment, Tony reportedly went ahead, employing the services of gunmen to destabilize Isuaniocha, vowing never to allow the town to have peace.
The government of Anambra State, having warned him severally without success, eventually dissolved his leadership and replaced him with a caretaker committee.
There have been reports linking him to an attack on Chidiebele Okoye, who miraculously survived the ordeal but remains physically impaired. Similarly, he has been named in the case of Chief ANGUS OKOYE of Ifite Isuaniocha, who was kidnapped and later found dead. His lifeless body was discovered by Dunukofia Police at a border town between Nawgu and Otoko village.
Before further comment, we advise the online newscaster to change the caption from Ex-PG to Dethroned PG of Isuaniocha.
Tony Onyeagolu and others are currently facing murder and attempted murder charges in different courts in Anambra State.
In a controversial move, he and his associates allegedly approached a court in Nasarawa State with misleading claims, securing an order to declare over a hundred Isuaniocha residents wanted—many of whom are potential witnesses in the murder and attempted murder cases against him. However, the same court has since reversed its decision, making it clear that no Isuaniocha resident should be arrested in connection with that order.
It has also been alleged that Tony operates a location at Ifite Isuaniocha junction, known as the Whyte House, where criminal activities are said to take place. Several residents, including Mr. Chukwuma Onyibor of Umuelom Village and Mr. Abuchi Ementa of Otoko Village, have been shot at different times and remain hospitalized. Others, like Ozo Chukwujekwu Okoye and Mr. Samson Okafor, have since been treated and discharged.
Recently, Tony Onyeagolu has been making frequent media appearances, praising the Governor of Anambra State after an unsuccessful attempt to mislead Ozoigbondu about his activities. His sudden shift in alliances raises concerns, especially considering his known history with armed groups.
There have also been allegations of attempts to influence key officials through financial inducements, with notable figures refusing to align with his reported agenda. Hon. Chikodi Anara, for instance, came under attack after declining to support him, while an IPO from FCID Homicide faced similar hostility for refusing to compromise a criminal investigation. The Commissioner for Local Government, the Mayor of Dunukofia LGA, and HRH, Igwe of Ukwulu Kingdom, were all pressured for financial gains but resisted.
A particularly concerning development is the reported detention of Onyemazu Ngini by Ken Emeakayi, allegedly without due process. This raises critical legal and ethical questions:
1. Does Ken Emeakayi have the legal authority to detain Onyemazu Ngini for over two weeks?
2. Does this amount to unlawful detention?
3. Does he have the constitutional right to operate a private holding facility?
4. Is this part of a broader scheme influenced by Tony Onyeagolu and his associates?
5. Is there any legitimate evidence against Onyemazu Ngini to justify his detention?
6. Has Ken Emeakayi taken over judicial powers by holding Onyemazu Ngini without trial?
7. If the case involves a land dispute pending in court, does this not amount to extrajudicial interference?
8. Is Onyemazu Ngini’s constitutional right to due process being violated by keeping him in a private facility instead of handing him over to the police?
9. Why has Agunechemba security not taken action against the criminal elements allegedly operating from the Whyte House in Ifite Isuaniocha, despite repeated reports?
These are pressing questions that demand urgent answers.
The Governor of Anambra State should closely monitor the activities of Agunechemba under Ken Emeakayi before it becomes an embarrassment to his administration. Emeakayi must remain neutral and avoid aligning with individuals whose names have repeatedly surfaced in security concerns.
For the record, individuals reportedly linked to Tony Onyeagolu, including Emeka Maduka, were seen resurfacing in the community, allegedly coordinating with unknown gunmen operating from the Whyte House. These developments have further heightened security concerns in the area.
Finally, we appreciate the efforts of His Excellency, Prof. Charles Soludo, in addressing security challenges across Anambra State and ensuring that peace and justice prevail.
Signed:
Concerned Citizens of Isuaniocha
