Champions League qualification: Who is most likely to win race and how many spots will Premier League teams have? | Football News

The race for Champions League qualification is more competitive than ever with five Premier League teams guaranteed qualification, but who will make the cut?

The race for the top five is tight, with only six points separating second-placed Arsenal down to Nottingham Forest in seventh.

Premier League winners Liverpool have already guaranteed Champions League football, while Opta put Arsenal’s prospects at 99.9 per cent.

Following their 2-2 draw at Anfield, the Gunners require one point from their remaining two fixtures to secure a top-five place.

Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa are all level on 66 points, although the latter two have now played a game more than Eddie Howe’s side.

Meanwhile, ahead of their rearranged home game with Bournemouth on Tuesday evening, Manchester City have slipped out of the top five following Friday’s night’s results and Forest could even move level on points with Pep Guardiola’s team by winning at West Ham United on Super Sunday.
