The Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force, Adetayo Akerele, has pledged his support for the revitalisation of the Safety Arena Medical Clinic.
Akerele made the promise when the clinic’s management team, led by Dr. Funmilayo Shokunbi, paid him a courtesy visit.
A statement by the Director, Public Affairs, of the task force, Gbadeyan Abdulraheem, disclosed that the team from the clinic made the visit ahead of the forthcoming health week in the state.
The task force chairman, in his remarks, assured of his commitment to the clinic’s cause.
“We will do everything within our capacity to support the clinic’s operations and ensure it becomes fully functional in service to the community.
“We thank the team for extending a hand of fellowship and visiting its next-door neighbour,” Akerele said.
Speaking earlier, Shokunbi said the clinic’s management was going all out to seek the collaboration of well-meaning bodies and individuals, knowing that a functional clinic would better the health of citizens in Lagos.
“We seek the collaboration and support of the Task Force Chairman towards revitalising and making the clinic fully functional again.
“We commend CSP Akerele for his people-oriented leadership style and the health-conscious policies being implemented under his administration.”
