Craig Gordon: Hearts goalkeeper agrees one-year contract extension keeping him at Tynecastle Park until 2026 | Football News

Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon has ended speculation about his future by agreeing a new one-year deal.

The 42-year-old, who is in his second spell with the Tynecastle club, was out of contract this summer.

He made 46 appearances for Hearts this season after being reinstated as the club’s first-choice ‘keeper.

The former Sunderland and Celtic stopper reached 300 appearances for the Gorgie side in November and became the club’s record European appearance holder in their Europa League qualifier away to FC Viktoria Plzen.

Gordon clinched his 100th Hearts clean sheet in December’s 2-0 win over Dundee, going on to record another four shutouts.

He has made 81 appearances for Scotland but missed out on Steve Clarke latest squad due to a minor injury.
