Big Brother Naija’s former housemate Queen Mercy Atang has expressed joy after her daughter started school.
She took to her Instagram page to share a video of her daughter’s first day at school.
Mercy wrote: “My beautiful daughter’s @stargirl_keilah first day of school, and trust me, I wasn’t ready.
What started as excitement quickly turned into me crying in the car. I prayed and cried like never before. I have big respect to all the parents out there; you are the real MVPs. Please, how do you do it?
I literally waited outside the school the whole time until closing. And when it was time to pick up my princess, I flew in like lightning! It’s funny how I was just saying, “Thank God you’re starting school; I need my peace.” Suddenly, I didn’t want peace anymore.
I just wanted to be sure my baby was okay every single second.
Today, I finally understood why our parents have BP problems. From childbirth to raising a child to starting school this phase is no joke. Honestly, it’s enough to raise anyone’s blood pressure. God, please help us all.
Dear fellow mommies, the level of confusion I experienced today was unreal. I couldn’t even figure out what to cook for lunch for my girl. Please help your girl and drop some lunch ideas, I’m begging!
I’m so grateful to God for this journey. This feels like the true beginning of motherhood for me, and I’m ready to embrace it all. So help me God.
