Senior Pastor Emmanuel Iren has sparked conversation online revealing that the majority of sexual assault allegations brought to his ministry turned out to be false, by the accusers’ own admission.
“In this ministry, 9 out of 10 cases where the women came and said they were sexually assaulted ended up false, and I’m not saying our opinion, by the ladies’ own admission.” He said.
Iren shared how his initial reaction to early cases was outrage, even threatening to involve law enforcement, until evidence surfaced proving some claims were fabricated.
He emphasized the importance of discernment, stating, “If you were in a relationship with someone and the guy said he’s not doing again, that’s not sexual assault in case you don’t know.”
His comments have since stirred debates online, with some praising his transparency while others urge caution in framing such sensitive topics.
